Sadies Dog Rescue are desperately seeking a special home for this beautiful, confident & independent blonde bombshell, Penny.

She was rescued along with her beautiful puppy, Dijon, in March 2019 as a stray on the streets of Romania. Dijon has long been snuggled up in his forever home, but Penny's journey hasn't been so smooth so far.

People who have met Penny & spent time with her have commented on how beautiful she is (more beautiful than photos show.) They say she's incredibly affectionate, super friendly, clever & a big bundle of fun. She loves her fuss, attention & thoroughly enjoys her walks.

Penny has been in the UK for FIVE long years, following a long period in Sadies shelter after her rescue. She didn't have a lot of luck with her earlier foster homes. She required a lot of time, space & patience at the beginning, but she has come a long way since...

Penny was then moved into a UK kennel environment for a while. But it was felt that a home placement setting would be the most beneficial bridging home for her. At her home placement, with the owner of the kennels, the good work has continued with her training, the setting of boundaries & routines, which are also being maintained. She has settled in well in this environment, thus Sadies feel she will continue to thrive in a lovely home.

So, Sadies would be looking for a home who would be willing to take the time to continue the good work, a patient, experienced & committed home with good intuition or a willingness to learn (Sadies are happy to provide support & training for the right home). Penny's new home must be absolutely committed to working alongside the team & trainers to set her up for success.

Penny has been a perfect house guest at her home boarding placement. She is crate trained & housetrained & lives as one of the family. We are told that she loves nothing more than to chill out at your feet whilst you watch TV & belly rubs are compulsory!

Her familiarity with living in a home means Sadies can consider different types of homes for her... flats, homes without gardens, etc.

However, Penny loves her walks, so her new home must be able to access outdoor spaces for regular exercise.

Penny is not cat tested however, she does appear to have a strong prey drive & has previously had a few incidents of reactivity in the home with resident dogs. Therefore Sadies feel it best that she goes to a cat free & dog free home & a home free of free roaming pets or animals. Penny has, however, proved to enjoy socialising with dogs outside of the home for shorter periods & she does enjoy the company of other dogs.

Whilst Penny is great with kids, Sadies would prefer not to rehome her with any resident children under 16 years of age. Sadies feel that she might not enjoy the busyness that would come with there being children in the home.

Ideally, Penny will need to spend some time getting to know you before she comes to see you in your home. A commitment to visit her at her current placement in Goole, East Yorkshire, is therefore a must. However, she can be homed anywhere across the UK.

She has proven that she can positively thrive in a home of her own!

Please help these two longterm, homeless, rescue dogs (Penny & Rusty) by sharing these two pages containing their details.

Both dogs are at very real risk of being returned to the Sadies Dog Rescue shelter in Romania, if homes cannot be found soon, due to financial constraints & a lack of interest. This would be a real shame given all the time & work that has been put into their rehabilitation & preparation for living in a home environment.

They are both doing so well living in their home boarding placement & they are now more than ready to find homes of their own, separately, in the UK. ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง

Please somebody give them a chance! ๐Ÿ™

Thank you ๐Ÿฅฐ

PLEASE NOTE: ๐Ÿ’› Penny ๐Ÿ’› HAS NOW BEEN ADOPTED SO IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR FOSTER OR ADOPT! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ
